Why should I switch to LED Lighting?anchner
LED’s use less energy than a standard incandescent bulb, because they require less wattage (lower wattage does not mean lower brightness – brightness depends on the lumens and not wattage). In fact, if a LED bulb is Energy Star Certified, it uses 75% less energy than a standard incandescent bulb! LEDs produce brighter light using less energy, they last longer, and require less maintenance. The typical lifetime of an LED bulb is between 25,000 to 100,000 hours. You might not have to change a LED bulb for a decade or longer! LED bulbs don’t just use less energy, they also emit less heat than incandescent and CFL bulbs, which decreases the chance of an overheated bulb starting a fire. Also, unlike the popular CFL bulb, LED bulbs are mercury-free, making them more eco and child-friendly than your fluorescent tubes.
